The problem
Why candidate status page matters
Most candidates hear nothing after they apply, then email the recruiter to ask. That silence costs your reputation and your team’s time. Candidates want to know where they stand and to manage their own interviews.
The short answer
Autessa Recruit gives every applicant a private status page that shows their stage in plain words, upcoming interviews with join links, open booking invites and a way to withdraw.
How it works
How candidate status page works in Autessa Recruit
- 01
A private link arrives
Right after applying, candidates see their private status link and get it by email. It works only for their application.
- 02
They see where they stand
The page shows the job, when they applied and their status in friendly words you choose for each stage, like “Under review” or “Interviewing”.
- 03
They book and join interviews
Open booking invites appear as “Pick a time”. Scheduled interviews show the time in their time zone, where to go, how to prepare and a join link.
- 04
They can cancel or withdraw
Candidates can cancel an interview up to 24 hours before, or withdraw their application with an optional note.
Options and settings
Every option, in plain words
What you can set and see in candidate status page.
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Candidate-facing stage wording | Each pipeline stage has a “candidate sees” label, so internal stage names stay internal. |
| Upcoming interviews | Time in the candidate’s zone, kind (phone, video, in person, take-home), location, instructions and a join link. |
| Pick a time | Open booking invites for a stage, with the length and the date to book by. |
| Cancel an interview | Allowed until 24 hours before; inside 24 hours candidates are asked to reply to the interview email. |
| Withdraw | Ends the application and cancels any open invitations. Cannot be undone. |
| Lost link | Candidates enter the email they applied with and get a fresh link if an open application matches. |
| Private by design | The link is moved out of the address bar after opening, and older links stop working as new ones are issued. |
Permissions
Who can do what?
Recruit’s roles decide what each person sees. Hiring managers are narrowed to their own jobs, interviewers to their own interviews.
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Candidate | View status, book, join, cancel interviews and withdraw. |
| Recruiter | Send a fresh status link with any email that includes it. |
| Admin | Set the candidate-facing wording of each stage. |

How candidate status page connects

FAQ
Candidate status page: questions
Can candidates check their own application status?
+
Yes. Every applicant gets a private status link that shows their stage in plain words, their interviews and any open booking invites.
Can candidates withdraw on their own?
+
Yes. The status page has a withdraw button. Withdrawing ends the application, cancels any open interview invitations and notifies the team.
What if a candidate loses their link?
+
They enter the email they applied with on the careers site. If it matches an open application, a fresh private link is emailed to them.
