Requisition approvals
Autessa Recruit includes a requisition approval workflow: nothing reaches the careers site until a recruiter or admin approves it, and every re-approval shows a line-by-line diff of what changed.

The problem
Why requisition approvals matters
Without a real approval step, roles go live before budget or scope is agreed, and when a hiring manager edits a job after sign-off, nobody notices what quietly changed. Approvers end up re-reading the whole posting every time.
The short answer
Autessa Recruit includes a requisition approval workflow: nothing reaches the careers site until a recruiter or admin approves it, and every re-approval shows a line-by-line diff of what changed.
How it works
How requisition approvals works in Autessa Recruit
- 01
A hiring manager submits
They finish the job and choose “Submit for approval”. Every active admin and recruiter is notified, and the job shows in Approvals with a live count in the sidebar.
- 02
The approver reviews the change
The first time, Approvals shows the whole request. After that, it shows only what changed since the last approval, field by field.
- 03
Approve, ask for changes or decline
Approve and publish in one step, approve only, send it back with a note saying what should change, or decline it with a reason.
- 04
Everyone hears back
The submitter and every hiring manager are notified of the outcome, and the job’s activity timeline records who did what.
Options and settings
Every option, in plain words
What you can set and see in requisition approvals.
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Approve & publish | Approves the job and puts it on the careers site at once. |
| Approve only | Approves it; a recruiter publishes it from the job page when ready. |
| Ask for changes | Sends it back to the hiring manager with a required note. The job shows “Changes requested”. |
| Decline | Closes the request; it won’t go on the careers site. The hiring manager sees your note. |
| Change review | Compares the request with a snapshot taken at the last approval, so only real changes are shown. |
| Approvals badge | The sidebar shows how many jobs are waiting, refreshed every minute. |

Who can do what?
Recruit’s roles decide what each person sees. Hiring managers are narrowed to their own jobs, interviewers to their own interviews.
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Admin | Review, approve, publish, request changes and decline. |
| Recruiter | Review, approve, publish, request changes and decline. |
| Hiring manager | Submit jobs and resubmit after changes; sees the approver’s note. |
| Interviewer | No access. |

How requisition approvals connects
Every part of Recruit shares the same jobs, candidates and calendar, on both sides of the hire.
FAQ
Requisition approvals: questions
Does Autessa Recruit have a job approval workflow?
+
Yes. Hiring managers submit jobs, and a recruiter or admin approves and publishes them, asks for changes with a note, or declines them. Nothing goes on the careers site until it is approved.
How does the approver know what changed?
+
Every approval stores a snapshot of the job. When the job is submitted again, Approvals shows only the fields that changed since that snapshot.
Who gets notified during approvals?
+
Submitting notifies every active admin and recruiter. Approving, asking for changes or declining notifies the submitter and the job’s hiring managers. The person acting is never notified of their own action.
