Receipts and documents

Autessa Accounting includes receipt management: Receipts lists card purchases over $75 with nothing attached. Drag a PDF or photo onto the row, or mark it as not required. After posting, attach contracts, wire confirmations or notes to any ledger entry or invoice; attaching never changes the entry.

Card purchases over $75. Refunds and transfers never need one.

The problem

Chasing receipts at year end

Receipts gathered months later are half missing and wholly painful. A running list of what is missing, with drag-and-drop on the row itself, turns receipts into a two-minute weekly habit, and supporting documents on posted entries answer the auditor’s questions before they are asked.

What you get

  • Card purchases over $75 with no receipt are listed; refunds and transfers between your own accounts never need one.
  • Drop a PDF or photo on the row, or on the transaction page.
  • Mark a purchase as not required.
  • Missing and Attached, not verified views.
  • Supporting documents on posted entries: contracts, wire confirmations, notes. Accepted files include PDF, images, Word, Excel, text and email files.
  • A later note on an entry is its own record with who wrote it; the entry’s memo is never edited.
  • Receipts are kept in Accounting, with the transaction they support.

How it works

How does receipts and documents work in Autessa Accounting?

  1. See what is missing

Open Receipts, or follow the missing-receipts item on Home.

  2. Attach

Drag the receipt onto the row. Replace it later if needed.

  3. Document posted entries

On the Ledger, open an entry and attach the contract or confirmation with a note on why the entry looks the way it does.
