Voting and ranking

Autessa Community lets members upvote and downvote posts and comments. Each item keeps a score, and the Top sort ranks the feed by score for today, this week, this month or all time, so the most useful answers and ideas rise.

The problem

The loudest post is not always the best one

In a reverse-chronological stream, a great answer from Tuesday is buried by Friday. Voting lets the whole company say which posts and replies helped, and Top turns that into a ranking anyone can read.

What you get

  • Upvote or downvote any post or comment; press again to take your vote back.
  • Posts keep upvotes, downvotes and a score; comments keep a score.
  • Top sorts by score, then by newest, across today, this week, this month or all time.
  • Your own vote is highlighted so you always know where you stand.
  • Votes are one per person per item.

How it works

How does voting and ranking work in Autessa Community?

  1. Vote on what helps

Use the arrows on the vote rail beside each post and comment.

  2. The score updates

The score changes immediately and is stored with the post or comment.

  3. Switch to Top

Pick Top and a time window to see what the company found most useful.
