Threaded comments
Autessa Community has threaded comments: reply to the post or to any comment, and the conversation nests underneath, up to six levels deep. Every comment supports markdown and attachments and has its own vote rail, edit, delete and report controls.
The problem
Flat replies lose who answered what
In a flat thread, the answer to the third question is ten messages away from the question. Threading keeps each side conversation attached to what it answers, so a long discussion stays readable.
What you get
- Reply inline under any comment; the composer opens right where you are.
- Nesting goes six levels deep; deeper replies attach to their sixth-level ancestor so the thread never runs off the screen.
- Comments are markdown, with attachments when a screenshot or file helps.
- Every comment has its own upvote and downvote and a running score.
- Authors edit or delete their own comments; an edited marker appears only when the words change.
- Report any comment to the moderators, and moderators can remove or restore it with a reason.
- When a post is locked, comments close and the thread says so.

Comment on the post
Add a comment at the bottom of the post, in markdown, with attachments if needed.
Reply to a comment
Press Reply on any comment and the reply nests under it.
Vote and react
Upvote the most useful replies so the best answer is easy to spot.
Keep it healthy
Report a comment, or, as a moderator, remove or restore it. Removed comments show as Removed to members.

How deep do comment threads go?
Six levels. Replies deeper than that attach to their sixth-level ancestor so the thread stays readable on any screen.
Can comments have attachments?
Yes. Comments take the same images, videos and documents as posts.
What happens when a post is locked?
Comments close. Members see that comments are closed on this post until a moderator unlocks it.
