Committee notifications
Autessa Ethics Hotline emails the committee about new reports, reporter messages, assignments and committee changes, and confidential reporters about their status. Every email leaves report details out and simply points back to the workspace, and a test mode can send every email to one address.
Why it matters
Email is how people notice, and also how reports leak
A committee that is never told about a new report won’t triage it. But an email that quotes the report puts a confidential concern into inboxes, forwards and phone notifications. Ethics Hotline notifies the right people and keeps the content where the access rules are.
What you get
- New reports: every member who can see the report and has emails on.
- Reporter messages: the case’s assignee, or the committee when nobody is assigned.
- Assignments: the member a case is assigned to.
- Committee changes: everyone on the committee.
- Updates to confidential reporters: the new status only, with a link to check.
- No email contains report details, names or messages.
- Test mode: while an address is set, every hotline email goes only there.
- Excluded members are never emailed about cases that leave them out.

FAQ
Questions about committee notifications
Do hotline notification emails include the report?
No. Every email from the hotline leaves report details out and points to the workspace (or, for reporters, to the Check a report page).
Can we test notifications without emailing the whole committee?
Yes. Set test mode to one email address and every hotline email goes only there until you clear it.
Can a member stop getting emails?
Yes. Each member has an “Email me about cases” switch, and the committee can turn each kind of email on or off for the hotline.
