Whistleblower hotline Β· Ethics case management
Every feature of Autessa Ethics Hotline
Autessa Ethics Hotline is a whistleblower hotline and ethics case management system in one: an anonymous reporting site for your people and a private workspace for your ethics committee. Here is every capability, grouped by area, ready out of the box and shaped to your company in Autessa.
Feature area
Anonymous reporting
Autessa Ethics Hotline gives employees an anonymous reporting site where they can raise a concern in a few minutes, without signing in and without being identified.
Speak-up page
The speak-up page is the hotlineβs front door: what you can report, a no-retaliation promise, how anonymity works, what happens next and an emergency note, all in plain words.
Read more βGuided report form
The guided report form walks a reporter through four steps (what happened, who can see it, protect your report, review and send) and sends nothing until they choose Send report.
Read more βAnonymous or confidential reporting
Every reporter chooses between Anonymous, where the hotline never asks who they are, and Confidential, where only the committee sees their name and email and they get status emails.
Read more βCase code and passphrase
Each report gets a case code and a passphrase that only the reporter holds: the passphrase is suggested in their own browser, never put in a URL or storage, and kept by the hotline only as a hash.

Anonymous follow-up
Autessa Ethics Hotline keeps a private, two-way conversation open between an anonymous reporter and the ethics committee for as long as the case is open.
Check a report
With a case code and passphrase, a reporter can check their report any time: the current status, a progress line and every update and message, without signing in.
Read more βAnonymous two-way messaging
Anonymous two-way messaging lets the committee ask questions and the reporter answer and add details through the hotline while the case is open, without either side revealing a name.
Read more βReporter status emails
Confidential reporters are emailed when their case changes state or the committee writes, and the email carries only the new status, never report details.

Case management
Autessa Ethics Hotline includes ethics case management: every report becomes a case with a state, an assignee, internal notes, a conversation and a recorded outcome.
Case inbox
The case inbox lists every hotline report a committee member may see, with filters by state, category and age, unread markers and counts of open cases and new messages.
Read more βCase workflow
Every case moves through New, Triage, Investigating, Resolved and Closed (or Dismissed), and each move is confirmed with a note of exactly what the reporter will see.
Read more βCase assignment
Each case can be assigned to one committee member, chosen only from members who are allowed to see it, and the assignee is told about new reporter messages.
Read more βInternal notes
Internal notes keep interview summaries, next steps and decisions on the case, signed and dated, for committee members who can see it and never for the reporter.
Read more βCase outcomes
Every case records an outcome: a resolution, from substantiated to referred elsewhere, plus an internal summary of what was found and done.

Independence and privacy
Autessa Ethics Hotline routes reports to a named, independent ethics committee, lets reporters exclude anyone the report involves, and logs every time a case is opened.
Independent ethics committee
Hotline reports reach only the people named on the ethics committee, not HR roles or company admins, and the workspace warns until two members are active so no report has a single gatekeeper.
Read more βLeave out committee members
Reporters can keep any committee member from seeing their report: that person cannot open it, is never told about it, cannot be assigned it, and gets the same βnot foundβ as a case that does not exist.
Read more βAnonymity protections
The hotline never records a reporterβs IP address or device details, keeps passphrases out of URLs and storage, sends emails with no report details and encrypts reports at rest.
Read more βAccess log
The access log records every time a committee member opens or changes a case and every committee or settings change, and nobody can edit or delete an entry.

Metrics and evidence
Autessa Ethics Hotline measures how the hotline is used and how fast the committee responds, and proves end to end that reports arrive.
Hotline metrics
Hotline metrics show how many reports arrived, how many are open, the median days to triage and to close, and the mix by category and state, for any year.
Read more βCase export for audits
The case export downloads a CSV of every visible case (code, category, state, dates, resolution, days to triage and to close) and never includes what the reporter wrote.
Read more βHotline test
The hotline test files a marked test report through the same path as a real one, emails the committee a [TEST] notice and hands you a code and passphrase to check and reply as a reporter would.

Administration
Autessa Ethics Hotline is set up in minutes and configured on one Settings page: who is told, how long cases are kept, and what the hotline says.
Committee notifications
The committee is emailed about new reports, reporter messages, assignments and committee changes, and every email leaves report details out and points back to the workspace.
Read more βRetention and purge
Closed and dismissed cases are kept for a retention period you set (1 to 25 years), then a member can purge the content while the code, category, dates and outcome stay.
Read more βHotline page text
The committee edits what the hotline page says (organization name, introduction, what to report, emergency note and what happens after sending), with plain standard text as the fallback.
Read more βGuided setup
Guided setup gives the hotline a narrow data key that can read and write but never delete, checks every part is installed, then walks the first member through starting the committee.
