Benefits catalog and requests

Autessa Homebase includes a benefits catalog: HR lists what the company offers, grouped by kind, with who can have each benefit and how to sign up, and each employee sees which ones are offered to them. Benefits that need a request, like a transit pass, are ordered through Autessa IT Desk, where HR fulfils them with a target time.

  • One catalog for health, retirement, commute, wellness, equipment and learning
  • Eligibility by employee or contractor, department and location
  • Requests run as tracked Autessa IT Desk orders
  • My requests shows every request and where it is

The problem

Nobody knows what benefits they have

Benefits information tends to live in a PDF from open enrollment and a few emails. People miss perks they are entitled to and ask HR the same questions every week. Homebase keeps the whole catalog in one place, shows each person what is offered to them, and turns requests into tracked work instead of inbox threads.

How it works

How benefits catalog and requests works in Homebase

  1. Build the catalog

HR administrators add each benefit: name, category, provider, a summary, details and how to use it, the provider website, a handbook article and when to sign up. Setup can install a starter catalog to edit.

  2. Set who can have it

Choose who it is offered to: everyone, or employees or contractors, in some departments or at some locations. The server decides what each person sees as offered to them.

  3. Request it

For a benefit linked to an IT Desk catalog item, people answer a few questions on the benefit page and send the request, or fill in IT Desk’s own form when it needs more.

  4. Follow it

IT Desk runs the request with approvals, a target time and the HR group that fulfils it, and emails the person as it moves along. My requests shows it live.

✦ AI assist

How the assistant helps

On the benefits pages the assistant answers what benefits you have, can request one such as a transit card for you, and tells you where your benefit request is. It acts with your access and asks you to confirm before sending.

It acts with your own access, and anything important waits for you to press Confirm.
