Employee self-service and HR workspace
Guided setup, branding and notifications
Autessa Homebase sets itself up with a guided first-run wizard: claim the HR administrator seat, connect HR to its data, add your branding and HR team, install starter policies, checklists, trainings and benefits, and optionally load a demo company to explore. Each person then chooses which HR emails they get.
- Setup in seven short steps that resume after a reload
- Starter content you edit, never shown as your policy before you do
- An optional fictional demo company, never emailed
- Your name, logo and accent color
The problem
HR software that takes a quarter to roll out
Many HRIS projects stall in implementation. Homebase starts with sensible defaults and starter content, so a small team can be live the same day and change everything later.
How it works
How guided setup, branding and notifications works in Homebase
Administrator
A company administrator claims the first HR administrator seat.
Connect and brand
Connect HR to its data, then set the name, logo and accent color people see in the workspace and email.
HR team and starter content
Give HR roles, then install starter content: policies, checklist templates, trainings, benefits, holidays and more, matched so re-installing never duplicates.
Demo data and finish
Optionally add a small fictional company to explore, then finish. Run setup again any time from Settings.
Options and settings
Every option, in plain words
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Setup steps | Administrator, Connect, Branding, HR team, Starter content, Demo data, Finish. |
| Branding | Name, logo (https address or a small upload) and accent color. |
| Starter content | Install or remove; removing keeps anything you edited or that is in use. |
| Demo data | Departments, people with managers, teams, time off, goals, reviews, onboarding and announcements. Fictional people are never emailed, and removing it never touches your records. |
| Send notification email | A workspace switch for all HR email. |
| Link in emails | The app address emails point to. |
| Test mode | Only email these addresses while you try things out. |
| My notifications | Each person switches off emails they do not want, such as review reminders, time-off updates, trainings or policy reminders. |
| Choice lists | HR changes the options in drop-downs. |
| Data access | See, rotate or fix the connection between HR and its data. |

FAQ

How long does Autessa Homebase take to set up?
The guided setup is seven short steps, and starter content means you can start right away. Every step can be changed later in Settings.
Can I try Homebase with sample data?
Yes. Setup can add a small fictional company with people, time off, goals, reviews and onboarding. Fictional people are never emailed, and removing the demo never touches your own records.
Can employees turn off HR emails?
Yes. In Settings → Notifications each person switches off the emails they do not want; it applies only to them.
Can I test notifications before going live?
Yes. Test mode sends HR email only to the addresses you list.
100% customizable, code and all
Make Autessa Homebase fully your own.
Use it out of the box, then change anything. Ask Autobot, Autessa’s AI builder, for a new field, screen, report, workflow or agent and it builds it into your copy of the app. Or open the code and edit it yourself. Nothing is locked: the app, its data and its code are yours.
