AI meeting summaries
Autessa Meeting Recorder writes an AI meeting summary for every recording, with five sections: Big Picture, Highlights, Key Objections, Action Items by Person and Goal for Next Call. It is written in the meeting's language, and each bot's summary comes from a prompt template you can edit to change the sections, tone or language.
The problem
Generic summaries miss what your team actually needs
A sales team wants objections and next steps. A hiring panel wants evidence for each competency. A board wants decisions. Most AI notetakers give everyone the same summary. In Meeting Recorder the summary is shaped by a prompt you own, per bot, so every team gets the notes it needs.
What you get
- Big Picture: two to four sentences on why the meeting happened and how it ended.
- Highlights: the most important moments, decisions and insights.
- Key Objections: concerns, pushback and blockers, attributed to a speaker when clear.
- Action Items by Person: a checklist under each person's name, with due dates when they were mentioned.
- Goal for Next Call: the agreed objective of the next meeting, or "No follow-up scheduled".
- Written in the same language as the transcript, using the dominant language when mixed.
- Each bot has its own summarizer you can edit in your Tools list; the prompt receives the transcript, participants and language.
- Retry summary rewrites it on demand, for example after you change the prompt.
How it works
How does aI meeting summaries work?
- 1
The transcript is ready
Summarizing starts automatically once transcription finishes.
- 2
The summary is written
The bot's summarizer turns the transcript and participant list into clean Markdown with the five sections.
- 3
It appears first
The Summary tab on the recording, and the top of every share page, shows it.
- 4
Participants are told
A recap email with a link goes to each participant.
- 5
Tune it
Open the bot's summarizer tool and edit the template to change structure, tone or language for every future summary. Use Retry summary to rewrite an existing one.

AI at work
Where AI helps here
The summary is written by an AI model from the transcript and participant list. It is told to stick to what was said, attribute objections and action items to people, and write in the meeting's language. Because the template is yours, you decide what it pulls out.

FAQ
Questions about aI meeting summaries
Can I change the format of AI meeting summaries?
Yes. Each bot's summary comes from an editable prompt template. Change the sections, add your own (such as "Risks" or "Decisions"), or change the tone or language, and every future summary from that bot follows it.
Does it capture action items?
Yes. Action Items by Person lists each participant who took on work with a checklist of their commitments, including due dates when they were mentioned. An Autessa agent can then call or email someone about their open items, following your instructions.
What if the summary is wrong or missing?
Use Retry summary to write it again from the transcript. If the transcript itself is missing, retry transcription first.
