Quiet hours

Quiet hours in Autessa Meeting Reminders are a daily window, such as 22:00 to 07:00, when reminder calls never ring. The window has its own time zone and can run past midnight. A reminder that would fire inside it is logged in your calls list as Quiet hours instead of being placed, so you can see exactly what was held back.

The problem

Late and early meetings should not wake you

Global teams book meetings at every hour. You might want a call for the 08:30 planning meeting but not for the 23:00 sync you will watch the recording of. Pausing everything is too blunt; quiet hours mute just the hours you choose, every day.

What you get

  • Turn on “Quiet hours: never call me during this window” and set From and Until.
  • Windows can span midnight, such as 22:00 to 07:00.
  • The window has its own time zone, filled in from your browser and editable in Settings.
  • Whether a call is quiet is decided by when the call would ring, not when the meeting starts.
  • Calls held back by quiet hours show as Quiet hours in the calls log, with the reason.
  • Quiet hours are the gentlest way to mute a recurring stretch without pausing everything.

How it works

How does quiet hours work?

  1. 1

    Turn it on

Tick quiet hours when you create the setup, or later in Settings.

  2. 2

    Choose the window

Set From and Until in 24-hour time. 22:00 to 07:00 covers the night.

  3. 3

    Check the time zone

It defaults to your browser’s time zone (for example America/New_York). Change it in Settings if you travel or work to another zone.

  4. 4

    See what was held back

Meetings whose call would land in the window appear in the calls log as Quiet hours instead of Scheduled.
