How Autessa Payments handles accept payments
Cards, wallets and bank payments →
- Cards are typed into a secure, encrypted form, with 3-D Secure when the customer’s bank asks for it.
- Apple Pay and Google Pay show on the pay page when the device supports them, and turn on automatically when you send your first invoice.
- US bank account payments show the invoice as Processing while they clear, usually a few business days.
Record cash and check payments →
- Available on sent invoices that are not yet paid.
- The paid date can be today or earlier, never in the future.
- The note (up to 500 characters) records how they paid.
Refunds →
- Refund the whole payment by leaving the amount empty, or set an amount for a partial refund.
- The money goes back to the original card, wallet or bank account and comes out of your balance.
- Partial refunds prorate base amount and tax; Tax collected shows sales after refunds.
Transactions ledger →
- Types: Invoice payment, Charge (such as subscription renewals and app payments) and Refund.
- Statuses: Paid, Processing, Started, Not completed and Refunded.
- Columns for amount, tax, platform fee and total, in tabular figures.
