Call categories and review

Autessa AI Receptionist triages every call: each one is sorted as Important, Routine, Vendor, Spam or Needs a look, with a one-line reason. The AI receptionist sets it during the call, a second AI review checks it from the transcript after the call ends, and a category a teammate chooses is never changed by the AI again.

The problem it solves

Ten calls a day, two that matter

Sales pitches, robocalls and wrong numbers bury the one customer who really needed you. Call triage means your team reads the important calls first and can skim the rest. Two passes, one live and one from the transcript, keep the sorting honest.

What you get

  • Five categories: Important, Routine, Vendor, Spam and Needs a look.
  • Every call gets a one-line reason for its category, shown on the call page.
  • Callers are understood as prospects, customers, partners, investors, journalists, event organizers or candidates, as vendors, as spam, or as wrong numbers.
  • After the call, a reviewer re-reads the transcript and updates the category, message, a two to three sentence summary and who it is for.
  • A call under ten seconds with no words is spam; a call with no transcript becomes Needs a look.
  • When a teammate picks a category, the AI leaves it alone from then on, and the morning email follows your choice.

How it works

How does call categories and review work?

  1. During the call

The receptionist sets a category and a one-line reason as it saves the message.

  2. After the call

When the call ends and the transcript is ready, a reviewer re-files the call from what was actually said.

  3. Your team adjusts

On the call page, anyone can pick a different category, or press Not spam on a call marked as spam.

  4. The choice sticks

Once a person sets it, the page says "Set by a teammate; the receptionist won't change it."

SpamRobocalls, trolling, silent calls under ten seconds.
Needs a lookSet by the reviewer or a person when the call cannot be judged, for example with no transcript.
Category reasonA one-line explanation shown on the call.

What the AI does

How the receptionist handles it

Two AI passes sort every call. The receptionist judges it live; the reviewer agent reads the transcript afterward and writes the category, reason, message, summary, whether a callback was wanted, whether it was urgent and who it is for. Neither invents details.

Questions

Questions about call categories and review

How does the AI receptionist sort calls?

Each call is sorted as Important, Routine, Vendor, Spam or Needs a look, with a one-line reason. The receptionist sets it live and a reviewer checks it again from the transcript after the call.

What if it gets the category wrong?

Change it on the call page. Once a teammate sets a category, the AI never changes it again, and the morning summary follows your choice.

What does Needs a look mean?

The call could not be judged on its own, for example because no transcript was saved. A person should glance at it.

Every call gets a category and a one-line reason during the call, a second review from the transcript afterward, and a teammate's choice always wins.
