Last save wins, and someone loses an hour

When two people edit the same notes or list at once, one of them usually overwrites the other. Teams need simultaneous editing with no “who has it open?” messages.

  • Autosave after a short pause creates a version marked as a live save.

  • If live collaboration is unavailable, the editor falls back to the usual edit-and-save flow and says so.
  • If the file was changed outside the session, the live version is saved over it and the other version stays in history.

Does Autessa Drive support real-time co-editing?

Yes, for text, Markdown and CSV files up to 2 MB. People see each other’s changes and named cursors as they type, and changes merge automatically.

Can several people edit a Word document at the same time?

Not live yet. Word documents and spreadsheets open in their own editors with save-and-version and conflict handling; live co-editing for them is coming next.

What if the live connection drops?

The editor reconnects on its own. If live collaboration is unavailable, it falls back to the normal edit-and-save flow and tells you.
