Version history and trash
Autessa Drive keeps file version history automatically: every replace, save, live save, desktop save and agent edit becomes a new version you can open and restore, with the newest 10 kept by default. Deleted items go to the trash for 30 days by default and restore to their original path.

Someone overwrote the good version
A teammate saves over the signed copy, a bulk upload replaces the wrong file, or an automation edits a policy. Without versions and a forgiving trash, the only fix is hoping someone kept an attachment.
how-it-works
How does version history and trash work in Autessa Drive?
- 1
Open the file’s history
Open the file and click the version badge in the top bar, or open Details to see every version with who saved it and when.
- 2
Compare and restore
Open an earlier version to check it, then restore it. Restoring makes it the current version again; nothing is lost.
- 3
Recover a deleted item
Open Trash in the folder tree, find the file or folder and click Restore. It returns to where it was.
- 4
Clean up for good
Use Empty trash, or delete a single item permanently, when you are sure.

AI agents
How AI agents use it
Versions are the safety net that makes agent writing practical. When an agent appends to a memory file or edits a policy, the change is its own version, so a person can read exactly what changed and restore the previous one in a click.
Agents only reach files the person they act for can open, and every agent write is a version you can undo.

Questions about version history and trash
Autessa Drive
Try version history and trash in Autessa Drive
Autessa Drive keeps the newest 10 versions of every file by default and holds deleted items in the trash for 30 days, so any change, by a person or an agent, can be undone.
100% customizable, code and all
Make Autessa Drive fully your own.
Use it out of the box, then change anything. Ask Autobot, Autessa’s AI builder, for a new field, screen, report, workflow or agent and it builds it into your copy of the app. Or open the code and edit it yourself. Nothing is locked: the app, its data and its code are yours.
