Recording bots and capture · Autessa Meeting Recorder
Invite the bot by email
With Autessa Meeting Recorder you can invite an AI notetaker to any meeting the way you invite a person: add the bot's email address to a Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams invite, or forward an invite to it from anywhere, and the bot joins at the start and records.
The problem
Not every meeting is on your calendar
Customers send their own Zoom links, partners host on Teams, and some meetings are booked by an assistant on someone else's calendar. Inviting the bot by email works in every one of those cases, with no app to install and nothing for the other side to set up.
What you get
- The bot's address is shown on its page with a Copy button, and in a "Your bot is ready" banner right after you create it.
- Add it to any invite as an attendee; the meeting link in the invite tells the bot where to go and when.
- Forward an invite you received to the bot's address and it records that meeting too.
- Meetings that came in by invite are marked Invited in the recordings list, so you can filter for them.
- Inbound invites are logged for diagnosis, and an alert appears if an invite could not be read.
How it works
How does invite the bot by email work?
- 1
Copy the address
Open the bot and click Copy next to its email address.
- 2
Invite or forward
Add the address to the meeting invite like any attendee, or forward an existing invite to it.
- 3
The bot is scheduled
A Scheduled recording appears in the bot's Recordings with the time it will join.
- 4
It joins and records

- 5
Notes arrive
After the call the recording, transcript and summary land on the recording page and participants get a recap email.

FAQ
Questions about invite the bot by email
Do other attendees need to install anything?
No. The bot joins as a regular participant from the meeting link. Nobody else needs an account or an app.
Can I invite the bot to a meeting someone else hosts?
Yes. Forward the invite to the bot's address, or paste the link on the bot's page. The host may need to admit the bot from the waiting room.
What if the invite has no meeting link?
The bot needs a Zoom, Meet or Teams link to know where to go. If the invite cannot be read, the bot raises an alert so you know it will not join.
