Autessa Meeting Recorder
Recording bots and capture
Autessa Meeting Recorder captures meetings with named recording bots that join Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams when you invite them, paste a link or let your calendar decide, and it takes uploaded files too.
Why it matters
What does recording bots and capture cover?
How Autessa Meeting Recorder captures meetings: named recording bots with their own email, calendar auto-record, invites, pasted links and uploaded files.
Capture is where most notetakers win or lose: a recorder that misses the meeting is worth nothing. Meeting Recorder gives you a named bot with its own address and every way to get it into a meeting: invite it, forward an invite, paste a link, let your calendar decide, or upload a file you already have.
Who works here
Anyone who creates a bot owns it. Editors on a shared bot send it to meetings and upload files; calendar owners decide which of their calendars auto-record.
In one sentence each
- Named recording bots · A bot is a named recorder with its own email address: participants see its display name when it joins, and it keeps its own recordings, calendars and summary style.
- Bot email and identity · Choose how your bot shows up: an instant Autessa-hosted address, a mailbox in your own Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, or an address on your own subdomain verified through DNS.
- Invite the bot by email · Add the bot's email address to a meeting invite, exactly like a person, or forward an invite to it from anywhere, and it joins and records automatically.
- Paste a meeting link · Paste a Zoom, Meet or Teams link (or the whole invite text) and the bot joins now, or at the join time you set.
- Calendar auto-record · Link Google Calendar or Outlook calendars and set each one to manual, auto-record every meeting, or only meetings whose titles match your keywords, then adjust the next 24 hours by hand.
- Upload recordings · Upload video (MP4, MOV, MKV, WEBM, AVI) or audio (MP3, M4A, WAV) and it runs through the same transcription, summary and sharing as a recorded meeting.

FAQ
Questions about recording bots and capture
How many recording bots can I create?
You can create a bot for each purpose you have. Teams often keep separate bots for sales calls, interviews or internal meetings, so each has its own recordings, summary style and sharing.
Which identity should I choose?
Start with the Autessa-hosted address unless you have a reason not to. It works in seconds. Choose a Workspace mailbox if you want the bot to be a member of your own team, or your own subdomain if invites must stay on your domain.
Do other attendees need to install anything?
No. The bot joins as a regular participant from the meeting link. Nobody else needs an account or an app.
How fast does the bot join?
If you leave the join time blank it is dispatched immediately and joins as soon as the meeting lets it in.
Can I auto-record only some meetings?
Yes. Set a calendar to Only meetings matching keywords and add words like Demo or Interview. Only meetings whose titles contain one of them are recorded. You can still add any other meeting from Upcoming.
Can I get a transcript of a recording I already have?
Yes. Upload it to a bot as video (MP4, MOV, MKV, WEBM, AVI) or audio (MP3, M4A, WAV) and it is transcribed and summarized like a live meeting.
