Autessa AI Receptionist
Callers, setup and testing
Know your callers, test safely and keep the desk healthy: caller pages with private notes, test numbers, a scripted self-test and a setup check with one-click fixes.
Why it matters
What does callers, setup and testing cover?
Caller pages with notes, test numbers kept out of your stats, a self-test of scripted calls, and a setup check that fixes problems in one click.
A receptionist you cannot inspect is hard to trust. Caller pages show the history behind every number, test numbers let teammates try the line without polluting your stats, the self-test plays scripted callers and shows each check, and Setup checks everything the receptionist depends on and fixes what is off.
Who works here
Anyone can edit a caller page. Company admins run Setup, Fix everything and the self-test.
In one sentence each
- Caller pages · Every number that calls or texts gets its own page with its call history, a confirmed name and company, and private notes only your team sees.
- Test numbers · Teammates can call the main line to try things out: test calls stay out of the stats and summaries, are never blocked, and urgent alerts go only to the person testing.
- In-app self-test · One button plays ten scripted callers, from a demo request to a robocall, against the live receptionist or your unpublished changes, and shows exactly which checks passed.
- Setup check · Setup checks everything the receptionist depends on each time you open it, from call routing to who covers which calls, and company admins fix anything that is off in one click.

Questions
Questions about callers, setup and testing
Does the AI receptionist keep caller history?
Yes. Every number that calls or texts gets a caller page with all its calls, the name and company your team confirmed, private notes, and block or unblock.
Can I call the AI receptionist to test it?
Yes. Call from your own number. If it is in Homebase, the call is automatically a test call, kept out of stats and summaries, and urgent alerts go only to you.
How do I test the AI receptionist?
Company admins press Run all tests on Setup. Ten scripted callers play against the live receptionist or your unpublished draft, and each check shows Passed or Failed with the conversation.
How do I know the AI receptionist is set up correctly?
Open Setup. It checks everything the receptionist depends on, from call routing and texting to alerts and directory coverage, and shows each item as Working or what is wrong.
