AI redaction suggestions →
- One click reads the whole document and adds suggestions page by page.
- Finds names, SSNs, dates of birth, phone numbers, emails, postal addresses, account and ID numbers and medical identifiers.
- Pattern detectors run alongside as hints, and the most precise ones become suggestions directly.
Human review of AI suggestions →
- Pending suggestions are highlighted and listed under the Pending filter.
- Accept (D), Reject (X), or Delete, which rejects an AI box.
- Accept all or reject all pending suggestions, or all on the current page.
Scanned document and image redaction →
- Upload scanned PDFs or images; each becomes a document to redact.
- Text on the page image is read so Find, selection and AI suggestions work on it.
- Boxes read from the page image are labeled “read from the page image, double-check the box covers it”.
FAQ
Questions about AI redaction
Can AI automatically redact PII from a document?
AI suggests the redactions and you accept them. Redact never burns a suggestion nobody accepted, so a person always makes the final call.
Can a pending AI suggestion end up in the burned file?
No. You cannot burn while suggestions are pending, and only accepted suggestions and your own boxes are burned.
Can I redact a scanned PDF?
Yes. Redact reads the page image so you can search, select and get AI suggestions on a scan. Boxes found this way are flagged so you can confirm they cover the text.
