List view

Autessa Vision includes a list view: press V on any board to see its tasks as one dense row each, grouped by status, assignee, priority, project or nothing, and ordered by manual order, priority, due date, last updated, created or title. Priority, status and assignee are editable right in the row.

The problem

Boards are great for flow, not for scanning

Once a board has more than a few dozen tasks, columns get tall and comparisons get hard: who has the most on their plate, which high-priority tasks have no owner, what is due this week. A list view answers those questions in seconds without leaving the board.

What you get

  • Switch between board and list with V or the layout toggle; the filters stay the same.
  • Group by status, assignee, priority or project, or turn grouping off.
  • Order by manual, priority, due date, last updated, created or title.
  • Click a row’s priority, status or assignee to change it with the same quick picker the P, S and A keys open.
  • Drag a row into another group to set that group’s value; under manual ordering the drop position also becomes the task’s order on the board.
  • Keyboard selection works the same as the board: J and K to move, Enter to open, X to add to the selection.

How it works

How does list view work in Autessa Vision?

  1. Switch layouts

Press V or choose List in the Display menu. Vision remembers your layout as part of the current view.

  2. Group and order

In Display, pick a grouping and an ordering. Group by assignee to see workload; order by due date to see what is next.

  3. Edit in place

Click a field in a row, or select a row and press P, A or S, then type to filter the options, use arrow keys or number keys 1 to 9, and press Enter.

  4. Drag between groups

Drag a row from one group into another to change that field, for example from Unassigned to Sam, or from Low to High.

FAQ

Questions about list view

Does Vision have a list view?

Yes. Press V on any board to switch to a list grouped by status, assignee, priority, project or nothing, and sorted by manual order, priority, due date, last updated, created or title.

Can I edit tasks without opening them?

Yes. Priority, status and assignee are editable right in the row, and dragging a row into another group changes that field.

Does the list keep my manual order?

Yes. Under manual ordering, the list uses the same saved order as the board, and dragging a row sets its new position.
