Teams and roles
In Autessa Vision a team is a board. Create as many teams as you need, add people to each, and give them a role: owners and admins manage the team, the board’s columns and title and any project; members work on the board; people who are not on the team can view it but not change it.
The problem
Either everyone can change everything, or nobody can
Boards break when anyone can delete a column, and stall when only one admin can add a person. Vision’s roles split it cleanly: managers shape the board, members do the work.
What you get
- Creating a team creates its board; the team name is the board title.
- Roles: owner, admin and member. Owners and admins can manage; members can contribute; non-members are read-only.
- Owners and admins rename and delete the team, add and remove members, and change roles.
- Vision blocks removing or demoting the last owner or admin, so a team is never left without a manager.
- Each team sets its default sprint length in days.
- A member stack on the board and sprint headers opens the full member list.
- New users with no teams see a guided prompt to create their first one.

Create a team
Type a name in New team name and press Create team. You are its owner.
Add people
Add members from the directory and set each one’s role.
Set the cadence
Set the team’s sprint length in days.
Get to work
The team’s board appears in the sidebar for every member.

What roles does Vision have?

Can a team lose its last admin?
No. Vision blocks removing or demoting the last owner or admin.
