Autessa Booth Capture includes AI badge scanning: photograph any conference badge and AI reads it into full name, company, job title, email and phone. It does not need the organizer’s lead retrieval device or a badge provider integration, so it works at every event you attend.
The problem
Every show has a different badge, and a different scanner to rent
Organizer lead retrieval means a new device or app, and a new export, for each event, and some events have no scanner at all. A photo works everywhere. Booth Capture treats the badge as a picture to read, so the same flow works at a 40,000-person expo and a 60-person regional meetup.
What you get
- Reads full name, company, job title, email and phone from the badge photo.
- Works with any badge design, no event-provider integration required.
- Only fills fields that are still empty, so anything a rep typed is kept.
- Re-read badge on a saved lead re-runs the read and fills empty fields: “Check them, then Save.”
- The full photo is kept on the lead, so you can always look at the badge again.
- Add a second photo (“Another photo”) for the back of a badge or a business card handed over.
How it works
How does ai badge scanning work in Booth Capture?
- STEP 1
Photograph the badge
From Capture, Photo from library or the QR scanner’s shutter (“Capture badge”) for badges with no code.
- STEP 2
AI reads it
The Badge Reader reads a smaller copy of the photo and replies with the contact fields.
- STEP 3
Fields fill in
Empty fields are filled and the rep checks them. If the read failed, the capture is saved and read again in the background.
- STEP 4
Re-read later if needed
On any saved lead, Re-read badge fills whatever is still empty.

Can Booth Capture scan any conference badge?
Yes. It reads the badge from a photo with AI, so it does not depend on the badge design or the event’s badge provider.
Do I need the organizer’s lead retrieval app?
No. Booth Capture works without it. If the badge has a QR code with contact details, it reads that too.
What fields are read from a badge?
Full name, company, job title, email and phone, when they are printed on the badge.
Can I scan a business card?
You can photograph a card handed to you and it goes through the same reading path, but Booth Capture is built and tested around event badges.
