Lead capture · Autessa Booth Capture
Quick Capture
Quick Capture is the heart of Autessa Booth Capture: one big Capture button opens the phone camera, you photograph the badge, say a sentence about what they wanted, and save. The badge is read by AI while you talk, so the name and company are already filled in by the time you finish.
The problem
The best conversations happen when you have no time to type
A booth rush gives you thirty seconds per person. Typing a name, a company and a note into a form means you either lose the next visitor or lose the detail that made this one worth calling. Quick Capture asks for one photo and one sentence, which is what reps can actually do with one hand while the next person waits.
What you get
- One Capture button at the bottom of the phone screen; long-press it for every other way to capture.
- Opens the phone’s own camera app, so there is no in-page camera permission to fight with.
- The badge is read in the background while you record: “the name fills in when it is done.”
- Record a voice note right in the capture: “Tap Record and say who they are and what you talked about.”
- If the badge cannot be read, save anyway; it is read again in the background.
- Captures waiting to send stay editable, so you can fix a name before it goes.
- Saved on the phone first, so a dead connection never costs you the lead.
How it works
How does quick capture work in Booth Capture?
- STEP 1
Tap Capture
The phone camera opens. Photograph the badge (or the person’s card or QR code if that is what they hand you).
- STEP 2
Talk while it reads
Quick Capture opens with the photo. Status reads “Reading the badge… record a note or just save.” Tap Record and say a sentence or two about what they need.
- STEP 3
Check and save
When the read finishes: “Read from the badge — check the details look right.” AI only fills fields you left empty, so anything you typed wins. Tap Save.
- STEP 4
It sends and qualifies
The capture is saved on the phone and sent. The photo, voice note and any typed fields go to the Badge Scanner, which writes the lead and its qualification.
Every option
What a Quick Capture holds
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| Badge photo | The full photo is kept on the lead; a smaller copy is used for reading. |
| Voice note | Up to 180 seconds, recorded in the browser with a live waveform and playback before saving. |
| Fields | Full name, company, job title, email, phone, how we met, Hot / Warm / Cold, needs follow-up, notes. |
| Read timeout | The live badge read waits up to 45 seconds; after that the capture is saved and read later. |
| Other entry points | Long-press Capture: Scan QR codes, Photo from library, Several photos from library, Voice note only, Type it in, Today’s leads. |
Permissions
Who can do what?
| Role | Can |
|---|---|
| Sales rep | Capture, edit their view of a lead, add notes, voice notes and photos, rate leads and draft follow-ups. Capture is never restricted by role. |
| Sales manager | Everything a rep can, plus edit and delete leads, export CSV and archive events. |
| Administrator | Everything a manager can, plus delete events and manage the People directory. |
AI assist
What AI does here
Two AI steps run behind Quick Capture. The Badge Reader reads the photo into name, company, job title, email and phone for the live fill and saves nothing. After you save, the Badge Scanner takes the photo, the voice note and what you typed, writes the lead and extracts its qualification.
AI fills empty fields and drafts; people decide what is saved and what is sent.

FAQ
Questions about quick capture
What is Quick Capture?
It is the one-button capture flow in Booth Capture: photo, voice note, save. The badge is read by AI while you record, and the lead is qualified after you save.
Do I have to record a voice note?
No. You can just photograph the badge and save. The voice note is what lets AI qualify the lead, so most reps say at least a sentence.
What if the badge cannot be read?
Save anyway. Booth Capture says “Could not read the badge. Save anyway — it is read again in the background,” and the lead fills in when the read succeeds.
Will AI overwrite what I typed?
No. The badge read only fills fields that are still empty.
