Direct signing links

Direct links let you deliver signing outside email. For any sent Autessa envelope you get one link per recipient that opens straight into signing, and one envelope-level link where whoever opens it enters their email address and is matched to their own slot.

The problem it solves

Invitations land in spam

The most common reason an envelope stalls is that the invitation never reached a human. Corporate filters, typos and busy inboxes all get in the way. Direct links let you paste a working signing link into a chat, a text message or a calendar invite, or hand a tablet to someone sitting across the desk.

What you get

  • Per-recipient links: one per signer, opening straight into signing with that person identified.
  • An envelope-level link: the same link for everybody; each person enters their email to reach their own slot.
  • Use them in chat, text messages and calendar invites, or open one on a tablet for in-person signing.
  • A per-recipient link is exactly as powerful as the emailed invitation, so send it only to that person.
  • Use the envelope-level link when posting into a channel where several recipients will see it.
  • Links carry the envelope’s expiry.
  • Available from the envelope detail page, from the API and from the CLI (envelope-direct-links).
