Autessa Drive share links open a read-only view of a file, a folder or a whole drive. You choose whether the link works for anyone with it or only signed-in people at your company, whether visitors can download, and an optional expiry date; revoking a link stops it immediately.

Sending files outside the company without losing control

Attachments are copies you can never take back. A link that is read-only, optionally expires, and can be revoked in one click lets you hand a client or auditor exactly what they need.

  • Create a link from Link sharing in any Share dialog.
  • Audience: Anyone with the link, or Only people at your company (they must be signed in).
  • Choose whether link visitors can download files.
  • Set an optional expiry date.
  • A folder link opens a read-only view of that folder and everything under it, with Find text in these files.
  • A link on the drive itself opens a read-only view of everything in the drive.
  • Links keep working when the item is moved or renamed, and stop when it is trashed or revoked.

How does share links work in Autessa Drive?

    Open Share, then Link sharing

    Click Create link.

    Pick the audience

    Anyone with the link, or Only people at your company.

    Set downloads and expiry

    Allow or block downloads and optionally set an expiry date.

    Copy, and revoke when done

    Share the URL. Revoke it from the same section to stop it immediately.

Questions about share links

Can I share a folder with someone outside my company?

Yes, with a share link set to Anyone with the link. It opens a read-only view of the folder and everything in it.

Can a share link expire?

Yes. Set an optional expiry date when you create the link, and revoke it any time to stop it immediately.

Can I stop people downloading from a link?

Yes. Turn off downloads for the link and visitors can only preview.

Does a link break if I move the file?

No. Links keep working when an item is moved or renamed, and stop working if it is trashed.
