Downloading a file just to look at it

Every download is a copy that drifts out of date and outside your sharing rules. Teams need to open, read, compare and comment on files where they live.

  • PDFs open in a reader with page thumbnails, zoom, selectable text and find in document.
  • Images open in a lightbox with fit, 1:1, rotate, zoom and a filmstrip of the folder’s images.
  • Audio and video play in the app.
  • JSON, CSV and code open in a code editor with syntax highlighting.
  • The top bar has back to folder, click-to-rename, a version badge with history, Edit, Share, Download, Details and Comments.
  • Download saves the file under the name you see in the drive, never an internal identifier.
  • Use the arrow keys to move between files, Esc to go back and F for full screen.
  • Legacy .doc and .rtf files show their extracted text with Download.
