Autessa Drive is an online Word editor for .docx files: documents open as real pages laid out the way Word lays them out, and Edit gives you a Word-style toolbar, find, and track changes with accept and reject. Saving keeps everything you did not touch exactly as it was, including equations, charts and content controls the editor shows but does not edit yet.

Converting Word files breaks them

Many online editors convert .docx into their own format and back, shifting styles, numbering and layout. Legal, finance and HR teams need to edit the real file and send it back looking exactly like it did.

    The Word-style toolbar appears. Turn on Track changes if you want every edit recorded.

    Save creates a new version. Anything you did not edit stays byte-for-byte as it was.

No. Saving keeps everything you did not edit exactly as it was, including equations, content controls, charts, text boxes, headers and footers.

Does Autessa Drive support track changes?

Yes. Turn on Track changes while editing, then accept or reject each insertion and deletion.

Can two people edit the same Word file at once?

Not live yet. Word documents open in their own editor with save-and-version; if someone else saved first, you can reload or save your copy as a new file. Live co-editing works today for text, Markdown and CSV.
