Autessa Vision features
Sprints and agile
Autessa Vision runs agile sprints end to end: a sprint backlog, future, active and completed sprints with dates and a default length, progress by story points with a pace check, velocity, and a sprint review that carries unfinished work into the next sprint.
Why it matters
Autessa Vision runs agile sprints end to end: plan, start, track pace and velocity, then review and carry unfinished work into the next sprint.
Sprints only work when planning, tracking and closing are cheap. Vision keeps all three on the same tasks the board shows, so the plan never drifts.
At a glance
- One active sprint at a time
- Progress, pace and countdown
- Velocity from completed sprints
- One-step review and carry-over

What each part of sprints and agile does
Sprint planning →
Autessa Vision includes sprint planning for agile teams. The Sprints page lists every future, active and completed sprint with its tasks, plus a backlog of everything not yet planned, grouped by project. Drag tasks between the backlog and sprints, set dates, and start a sprint when it is ready.
- Sprints move through Future, Active and Completed, with only one active sprint at a time; starting another one completes the current sprint after you confirm.
- Each team sets a default sprint length in days, and the first sprint schedules itself from today for that length (still editable).
- Click a sprint’s name to rename it and its dates to change them; a sprint goal, when set, shows under the name.
Sprint progress and velocity →
Autessa Vision measures every sprint as it runs: completion by story points (or by task count when nothing is estimated), a pace check that compares progress with how much of the sprint has elapsed, a countdown to the end date, and To Do, In Progress and Done counts. When a sprint closes, its done points become its velocity.
- Progress is by story points when tasks are estimated, otherwise by task count.
- Pace compares progress with elapsed time; a sprint is behind when progress trails elapsed time by more than 10%.
- A countdown shows days left until the end date.
Sprint review and carry-over →
Autessa Vision closes a sprint with a review step. When you complete a sprint, its unfinished tasks are already selected, you pick which ones carry over, and Vision closes the old sprint and creates the next one with those tasks in one step. On the sprint’s last day, a one-time reminder pops up at 9am.
- Complete sprint opens a review listing every incomplete task, with this sprint’s unfinished work preselected.
- Tick or untick tasks to choose exactly what carries into the next sprint.
- Confirming closes the sprint and creates the next sprint with the picked tasks, in one step.
FAQ
Questions about sprints and agile
Does Vision support sprints?
Yes. Vision has future, active and completed sprints with dates, a default length per team, a backlog, drag and drop planning and a sprint review.
Does Vision track sprint velocity?
Yes. Each completed sprint shows points completed out of points committed, and recent velocity becomes the default capacity on the Triage page.
What happens to unfinished tasks when a sprint ends in Vision?
You choose. The review preselects them; the ones you keep checked move into the newly created next sprint, and the rest stay in the backlog.
