The problem
Copying video links by hand goes wrong
Pasting the same meeting room into every invite means shared rooms, stale links and people joining the wrong call. Meetings creates a fresh Meet or Teams link for each booking and puts it in the invite.
For the people who book
The booking page shows the location with an icon. After booking, the invitation and the confirmation screen carry the join link or address.
What you get
- Google Meet: a Meet link is added to the invite. Needs a Google booking calendar.
- Microsoft Teams: a Teams link is added to the invite. Needs an Outlook booking calendar.
- Phone call: enter the number to call, or write “We’ll call you” and ask for a phone number.
- In person: enter the address.
- Somewhere else: describe the place, for example a Zoom room address.
- The confirmation screen shows a Join with Google Meet or Join with Microsoft Teams button once the link is ready.
